Sarah Rama – SR Dressage Founder
Sarah is meticulous in her attention to detail in everything she takes on, and now the details of training dressage and moving into the competition ring. Her riding career started seriously at 15 years old in Palos Park, IL on a borrowed horse and a trainer that saw something. Sarah used the opportunity to groom and take lessons on anything she could ride with an opportunity to sit on some of the top dressage prospects in training. She developed into an accomplished young dressage rider but never got to move on to the higher ranks as the sport required a top school master dressage mount to be able to qualify up the ranks.
While working for various trainers as a kid, Sarah was able to part take in dressage clinics with the top dressage trainers, including Neil & Cynthia Ishoy of the Canadian Olympic Team, Gwen Stockebrand of the U.S. Dressage Team, Reiner Klimke of the German Olympic Team, and many more. Sarah was exposed at young age to some of the best dressage riders of our time, and now is able to finally take all this and apply it to her own dressage dreams working with the best dressage talent today.
As life tends to take over, Sarah hung up her breaches to pursue an international legal career that would take her all over the world. Sarah built her international firm modeled after her worldwide travels from the very first client to now an international portfolio of elite international companies and individuals needing to immigrate to the U.S. This takes a certain spirit and tenacity, similar to the spirit of the top Dressage Mount she intends to train and compete. After reaching the top levels of her legal pursuits, now Sarah can redirect this tenacity back to her first passion, to ride and compete at the Grand Prix Dressage, 30 years later. Now, with life experience and hard work under her belt, Sarah will bring this eminence and vitality to the horse ring with her relentless work ethic and attention to detail.
Sarah has the opportunity to return to her passion for dressage and to train in the place where all elite Dressage Riders come to train from all over the world, Wellington, FL. With this opportunity, Sarah wants to share her access to the elite Dressage Community of Wellington, FL with Young Riders of now. Sarah will share any Dressage Prospect in training with her and allow access to her horses for Young Riders to show, compete and train. She is taking lessons with Mary Ambrose, member of the Canadian Dressage Team, and a highly accomplished FEI dressage trainer and rider. Sarah clicked with Mary immediately in their combined goal to ride pure classical dressage and put the needs of the horse paramount over anything. Sarah is currently studying on her Grand Prix Dressage Schoolmaster, Da Vinci to build solid dressage fundamentals and prepare her to take on her own FEI Dressage Prospect under her keen eye.
Sarah’s goal is to rebuild her fundamentals of her youth to the advanced levels while searching for a top Dressage Prospect to move forward in the Wellington Dressage Circuit and bring along select Young Riders.
